Privacy policy

This policy explains what happens to the information you send us through this website. It covers this website only.
The data controller is Energia Max Ltd, 4 York House, Langston Road, Loughton, Essex, IG10 3TQ, United Kingdom. For anything in this policy, including any of the requests described below, email sales@energiamax.uk.
What this site collects
There are no accounts on this site, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking. The only personal data it collects is what you choose to type into the enquiry form on the contact page.
That form asks for your first name, last name, company name and email address. It also has optional fields for your phone number, the product you are interested in, your total load in watts, and a message describing your requirements. Nothing else about you is captured anywhere on the site.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
Enquiry details are used for one purpose: to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, to prepare a specification or quotation and to supply what you order.
Our lawful basis under UK GDPR is legitimate interests — Article 6(1)(f). The legitimate interest is responding to a business enquiry that you sent us. We consider this straightforward: you contacted us in a business capacity in order to get a reply, and using your details to send that reply is what you asked for and what you would expect.
We will not add you to a mailing list and will not send you marketing without your consent. If you ever do consent, you can withdraw it at any time and we will stop.
Your details are not sold, rented or shared for anyone else's marketing.
Who else handles it
The enquiry form is delivered by Web3Forms, a third-party form service. When you press Send enquiry, the contents of the form are transmitted to Web3Forms, which relays them to our email inbox. Web3Forms therefore receives everything you put in the form, and its handling of that data is governed by its own privacy terms rather than by this policy.
Beyond that relay and the email and IT providers we use to read and keep our own correspondence, we do not pass enquiry details to anyone else, except where we are required to by law.
This site is served over HTTPS, and the form submission is sent over an encrypted connection.
How long it is kept
Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as it is needed to deal with your enquiry and any supply that follows from it, and after that for as long as we need it to meet our legal and accounting record-keeping obligations. When it is needed for neither, it is deleted. If you want to know what we still hold about a particular enquiry, ask us and we will tell you.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising or remarketing tag, no social embed, no tag manager, no A/B testing tool, and no session or preference cookie of our own.
That is why you have not been shown a cookie banner. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations consent is needed to store or read information on your device, and this site does not do either — so there is nothing to ask you to consent to. We have not written a list of cookie categories here, because describing cookies we do not set would be misleading.
Your browser will still cache pages, images and the stylesheet in the ordinary way. That is your browser's own storage, it is not readable by us, and it carries nothing that identifies you. If cookies are ever introduced, this section and the site will change before they are.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you and to be given a copy, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it erased, to restrict how it is used, and to object to our using it — including objecting to our reliance on legitimate interests. You also have the right to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent wherever we have relied on consent.
To exercise any of these, email sales@energiamax.uk. We do not charge for this and will respond within the time UK GDPR allows.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data or your request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We would rather you raised it with us first so we have the chance to put it right, but you are not obliged to.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version is published on this page and the date at the top is updated. Material changes to how we use enquiry data will be described here rather than made quietly.
